How to check if you have cleared your programme?
As explained in the programme guide for your course there are two conditions to complete the course you are pursuing, These conditions are as follows:
- Assignments carry 30 per cent weightage in a course and Term End Examinations carry 70 per cent weightage.
- It is mandatory that you have to secure at least 40 per cent marks in each assignment as well as in each term end exam to complete a course successfully.
This can be understood well from the following example:
In above image you can see that in case of First Subject i.e. MCO01 candidate secured good marks in assignment part i.e. 88 marks out of 100 marks however, student secured only 37 marks out of 100 marks i.e. less than 40% in theory portion. To complete any one subject, marks shall be 40% or more individually in assignment part as well as theory part. Therefore, he has not completed MCO01 and the status is “NOT COMPLETED”.
Similarly, in case of MCO06, student secured 84 marks out of 100 marks in theory portion but failed to secure 40% marks in assignments and got only 31 marks in it. Therefore, status of MCO06 is “NOT COMPLETED”
In rest of the subjects, marks are more than 40% in both assignment as well as theory. Therefore, he has successfully completed the rest of the subject. Now, he has appear again in MCO01 and MCO06 in upcoming examinations.
How to Calculate Percentage through Grade Card?
As mentioned above, Assignments carry 30 percent weightage in a course and Term End Examinations carry 70 percent weightage. You can calculate your percentage in the following manner:

After calculating total marks, you can divide total marks by 6 and can get your percentage. For instance, in the above case, total marks are 443.1. By dividing it by 6 we get 73.85. Therefore, percentage of marks in this case is 73.85%.
